Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish. The role decides whether to dispatch internal technicians or third parties and aims to resolve technical issues quickly to improve uptime for Ryder lease or contract vehicles.

The position is remote with a Tuesday–Saturday 3:00pm–11:30pm EST schedule. The hourly base rate is $28.00/hr, with a $1.00 shift differential on 2nd shift and $1.50 on 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred - ASE certifications
• Five (5) years or more working in a Ryder Operations (shop) environment preferred
• Two (2) years or more in Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred
• Four (4) years or more in transportation maintenance required
• Two (2) years or more in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure related to most major vehicle/engines in Ryder fleet required
• ASE Certifications

Responsibilities

• Assess, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy of decisions relating to cost and uptime.
• Assist with follow ups, escalations, service provider interactions; provide periodic summaries to improve breakdowns and warranty issues.
• Provide updated technical knowledge to the maintenance team from OEM info and internal training.
• Mentor the Tier 1 call center team and participate in training and status updates.
