Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Territory Manager, Specialty Care Business Development. This remote role focuses on Commercial Lines Middle Market in Human Services and Nonprofit segments within Nationwide's team, with travel to agency partners throughout the territory.

The role requires strong underwriting of Casualty lines, business development skills, and seven years of related experience. Overtime is not eligible; heavy travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressively more responsible underwriting and sales experience in commercial business.
• Detailed working knowledge of commercial underwriting, pricing and coverage for middle market business.
• Knowledge of company sales and underwriting standards and practices.
• Ability to build and maintain cooperative internal and external partnerships.
• Demonstrated decision-making ability in day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Market, manage and underwrite commercial business with select agencies or brokers.
• Drive profit and premium to meet financial goals through developing sales plans.
• Lead agencies by creating sales strategies and implementing sales processes.
• Analyze risks and ensure pricing and coverage decisions for complex accounts.
• Develop business in targeted industries and preferred markets and manage agency relationships.
