Job summary

BD is seeking a Technical Support Specialist 2 to resolve complex, time-sensitive issues for ES 1.1x remediation. The role covers server-to-station troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with ES upgrade teams.

You will help field services and internal teams, maintain Salesforce case notes, and stay current on BD Medstation integrations. A strong SQL background and Windows/IT skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronic Technologies or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• Microsoft SQL experience (2+ years)
• Must be able to write queries and analyze SQL data (i.e. Select and Join statements) within complex database structures.
• SSIS (SQL Job) exposure/experience
• SQL Reporting Services
• Windows Server (2008+) and Desktop Administration (Win7+)
• Networking topology, terminology, commands
• IIS and Web Application Administration
• Group Policies Terminology and Administration
• VMWare Terminology and Administration
• Application Installation and Troubleshooting
• Ports (Networking/OS)
• Understanding of XML language (1+ years)
• Ability to review application and OS logs (2+ years)
• Flexible in working hours to meet the needs of the remediation team/schedule
• Remote position working from home office

Responsibilities

• Assist in resolving complex, time-sensitive, high-risk issues including customer escalations, site downtime, remote troubleshooting, and dispatching cases to field service technicians.
• Understand BD Medstation systems from server to station and integrated connections to other BD products.
• Collaborate with ES 1.1x upgrade team to ensure timely communication and coordination of support.
• Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements specific to ES 1.1x remediation efforts.
• Expand knowledge of ES 1.1x to ensure proficiency in troubleshooting & support.
• Provide CSC support to internal peers related to upgrade and implementation work.
• Maintain high-quality case notes and data integrity in Salesforce.
• Deliver timely progress updates and seek customer feedback to meet needs.
• Practice BD values and contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
