Job summary

Red Hat is seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager to join the services team. In this role, you will provide adoption guidance, implementation of best practices, and supportable insights to customers for the Red Hat OpenShift and Infrastructure solutions portfolio.

TAMs work closely with customers to prevent incidents and coordinate with engineering to resolve issues, while mentoring junior colleagues and ensuring alignment with customer objectives and priorities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Linux or UNIX system administration experience.
• Experience in a support, development, engineering, or QA organization.
• Knowledge of Linux kernel and Linux file systems.
• Ability to manage and grow enterprise customer relationships with proactive, relationship-based support.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to convey complex information clearly to customers.
• Ability to manage multiple issues and projects with attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with various hardware vendors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular technical reviews of customer infrastructure to identify risks.
• Deliver technical advice to optimize performance across Red Hat products.
• Develop and support solutions for complex challenges; act as escalation point.
• Collaborate with Red Hat Engineering, Product Management, and Support to debug and resolve issues.
• Manage customer use cases with clear documentation.
• Share learnings and best practices through knowledge management processes.
• Serve as the customer’s primary technical advocate within Red Hat.
• Conduct regular account reviews with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Work on-site and connect directly to customer systems as required.
• Maintain deep technical expertise across assigned Red Hat products.
• Mentor junior team members.
