Job summary

BD is seeking a Technical Support Specialist 2 to assist with ES 1.1x upgrade efforts and provide CSC support to internal peers. The role requires strong SQL, Windows Server, and VMware skills, plus the ability to communicate complex technical details to non-technical users.

The position is remote/homelocated in the United States with a limited-term assignment through June 2028, offering medical, health, dental, and 401k benefits per BD Total Rewards policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronic Technologies or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• Microsoft SQL experience (2+ years)
• Must be able to write queries and analyze SQL data (i.e. Select and Join statements) within complex database structures.
• SSIS exposure/experience and SQL Reporting Services
• Windows Server (2008+) and Desktop Administration
• Networking topology, terminology, commands

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex, time-sensitive issues including escalations and downtime.
• Collaborate with ES 1.1x upgrade team to ensure timely communication.
• Maintain knowledge of ES 1.1x for troubleshooting and support.
• Provide updates to customers and document case notes clearly.
• Identify trends in case work and optimize support processes.
• Adhere to schedules, training, and KPIs.
