Handshake is seeking a Support Specialist, Contractor to assist employer, student, and career services users. This 6-month contract may extend or convert to permanent based on fit.

The role focuses on strategic email, phone, and video support for customers ranging from small orgs to large brands. You’ll work with Support, Success, and Product teams to improve experiences and contribute to Handshake's mission of democratizing opportunity.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn technical tools and concepts quickly.
• High attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot with limited information.
• Strong empathy and relationship-building with customers.

Responsibilities

• Resolve questions, bugs, feedback, and inquiries (90%).
• Handle ~20–30 email tickets per day and ~10 calls in a 4-hour shift.
• Attend 1–3 team meetings weekly and perform administrative tasks.
• Provide accurate, tailored responses and build relationships with users.
