Job summary

Handshake is seeking a Support Specialist, Contractor to provide expert email, phone, and video support to our employer, student, and career services users. You will work closely with the Support Team to deliver an efficient, high-quality experience for a diverse set of customers.

This 6-month contract may extend or convert based on fit and business needs, with a focus on resolving complex issues, building relationships, and improving customer workflows.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn technical tools quickly.
• Based in the U.S. and able to work remotely.
• Contract role: 6 months with potential extension or conversion.

Responsibilities

• Resolve questions, bugs, feedback, and inquiries (90%).
• Process ~20–30 email tickets per day.
• Handle ~10 phone calls in a 4-hour shift.
• Attend team meetings (1–3 per week).
• Complete administrative tasks and training.
