Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a Service Engineer to partner with developers, testers, and managers in designing, operating, and improving large-scale, computer-based services for caregivers. You will analyze service delivery, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure reliable, secure production systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
• 2+ years related experience in service engineering
• Experience with automation related to deployment or recovery
• Experience with n-tier solutions
• Experience with resilience modeling and outage simulations

Responsibilities

• Understand requirements to contribute to service architecture and operability meeting KPIs
• Analyze current service delivery and identify improvements
• Troubleshoot and engineer solutions to restore service with minimal disruption
• Participate in disaster recovery drills and incident response when needed
• Provide data-driven analysis of capacity and cost models for service delivery
• Ensure production solutions are reliable, resilient, secure, and monitored
• Perform postmortems and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
• Collect metrics to support service intelligence analysis
