Job summary

Providence Enterprise Information Services is seeking a Service Engineer II IS - Remote to design, operate, and improve large-scale, cloud-enabled services for caregivers and clinical stakeholders. You will work with developers, testers, and program managers to ensure reliability, performance, and KPI-driven outcomes.

The role emphasizes end-to-end service telemetry, proactive troubleshooting, disaster recovery participation, and capacity planning with a focus on secure, scalable solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years related experience.
• Automation deployment/recovery experience.
• Experience with n-tier solutions.
• Resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and simulating outages.

Responsibilities

• Understands caregiver, business, and technical requirements; contributes to service architecture, operability, and KPI-aligned scenarios.
• Analyzes current service delivery to identify improvements for scalable, cost-effective systems.
• Troubleshoots and engineers solutions for service issues to restore service with minimal disruption.
• Participates in disaster recovery and incident response as needed.
• Provides data-driven analysis on capacity requirements and cost models based on KPIs and usage.
• Maximizes effectiveness of financial resources.
• Identifies and implements solutions to prevent platform, system, deployment, and environment issues before release.
• Participates in triage and uses root cause analysis, trend analysis, and postmortems to implement solutions.
• Ensures production solutions are reliable, resilient, secure, and continuously monitored.
• Collects metrics to support service intelligence analysis.
