Job summary

Providence Shared Services seeks a Service Engineer to collaborate with developers, testers, and program managers in designing, operating, and improving large-scale, cloud-enabled services for caregivers. The role emphasizes reliability, incident response, and cost-aware architecture.

You will analyze service delivery, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to disaster recovery drills while ensuring high-quality, compliant solutions for patient-centric care ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years related experience
• Experience in automation related to deployment/recovery or other manual processes
• Experience with n-tier solutions
• Experience with resilience modeling and simulating outages

Responsibilities

• Understands requirements and contributes to service architecture meeting compliance KPIs
• Analyzes current service delivery to improve systems and meet KPIs
• Troubleshoots and engineers solutions to restore service with minimal disruption
• Participates in disaster recovery drills and incident response during non-working hours
• Analyzes data to project capacity and enable cost modeling
• Maximizes financial resource effectiveness
• Identifies solutions to ensure on-time releases with high quality
• Participates in triage using root cause/trend analysis and postmortems
• Ensures production solutions are reliable, resilient, secure, and monitored
• Collects metrics to support service intelligence and performance trends
