Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a Service Engineer to work with developers, testers, and program managers to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services for caregivers. You will analyze KPIs, support cost models, and help ensure reliable, secure production solutions in a healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering with 2+ years of related experience, and have automation/deployment expertise, experience with n-tier architectures,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years related experience
• Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
• Experience with n-tier solutions
• Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually).

Responsibilities

• Understands caregiver, business, and technical requirements; contributes to a service architecture meeting KPIs.
• Analyzes current service delivery to identify improvements and cost-effective solutions.
• Troubleshoots issues and engineers solutions to restore service with minimal disruption.
• Participates in disaster recovery drills and incident response management.
• Collects metrics to support service intelligence analysis and capacity planning.
