Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Leader for the U.S. Trade Compliance Program to support the Country Trade Compliance Officer in overseeing the program, policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.

The role involves working with LTCOs, business units, and external agencies to drive risk-based decisions and continuous improvement while operating in a remote work model within the United States. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing U.S.

Qualifications

• Master's (preferred) or Bachelor's in supply chain/trade management with 10+ years in U.S. trade compliance.
• Customs broker license is strongly preferred.
• Certified import/export specialist is preferred but not required.
• Must have work authorization to work in the U.S.
• Super-user for Microsoft's platform tools; working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP/GTS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the U.S. Trade Compliance Program strategy.
• Lead program initiatives ensuring compliance with U.S. import/export/sanctions and other trade regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement of trade compliance processes.
• Advise Local Trade Compliance Officers on risks and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with LTCOs on remediation efforts and due diligence.
• Oversee Annual Trade Review Program and Global Trade Risk Assessments.
• Monitor compliance performance via Annual Trade Reviews, GT risk assessments, KPIs.
• Engage with government agencies (CBP, BIS, DDTC, OFAC) as needed.
