Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Senior Leader to oversee the U.S. Trade Compliance Program. You will work with the CTCO to govern and execute compliance across import/export, sanctions, and regulatory requirements, partnering with LTCOs and business functions.

You will drive program excellence, manage risk, and lead strategic initiatives while supporting remote work within the U.S. trade compliance organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in supply chain and/or trade management preferred with 10+ years in U.S. trade compliance.
• Alternative: Bachelor's degree with 12+ years in U.S. trade compliance.
• Customs Broker license strongly preferred.
• Certified Import and/or Export Specialist preferred.
• Super-user for Microsoft's Platform tools; working knowledge of SAP/GTS strongly preferred.
• Proven track record managing trade compliance programs under U.S. trade regulations (U.S. Customs, BIS, EAR, OFAC, ITAR).

Responsibilities

• Support the CTCO in developing, implementing, and executing the U.S. Trade Compliance Program strategy.
• Lead program initiatives to ensure compliance with U.S. import/export sanctions and trade regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement of trade compliance processes.
• Advise Local Trade Compliance Officers on risks and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate trade compliance risks; monitor and control effectiveness.
• Assist with investigations and corrective/preventive action plans.
• Escalate significant risks to CTCO; manage annual and tri-annual risk assessments.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, engineering, sales, and legal to embed compliance in operations.
