Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Staff Software Engineer focused on onboarding and migrations. You will design scalable server-side apps, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, while mentoring junior engineers and partnering with engineering, data, and product teams to elevate performance and data quality.

Remote work is available for US-based candidates. Compensation ranges from $156,800 to $196,000 annually, with benefits and equity in a publicly traded company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data pipelines, and database management.
• Strong expertise in AWS services such as S3, Glue, and DynamoDB.
• Hands-on experience with data integration tools such as Fivetran.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with containerized workloads and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Java and Python.
• Implement scalable APIs and microservices for front-end applications.
• Build cloud-native applications using AWS or similar cloud infrastructure.
• Optimize code and databases for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with data scientists to ensure data quality and availability.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment processes.
• Mentor junior engineers to enhance growth and engineering efficiency.
