Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in distributed data platforms, databases, systems engineering, performance architecture, or HW/SW co-design.
• Extensive knowledge of data processing systems, accelerated computing, high-performance I/O, or CPU/GPU architecture.
• Experience evaluating system-level trade-offs across diverse workloads is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Co-design future architectures for the company's data processing platforms with a focus on performance and efficiency.
• Engage with end users and partners to inform roadmaps and reference architectures.
• Drive full-stack performance optimization from compute kernels to system-level I/O and data movement.
• Collaborate with architects to shape hardware features using workload analysis.
• Partner with teams to build frameworks for navigating design trade-offs across key metrics.
• Develop benchmarking frameworks to evaluate performance sensitivities.
• Analyze production workloads to identify optimization opportunities across the platform stack.
