Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking a senior Reinforcing-Steel Estimator/Detailer to join our remote team in the United States. You will review structural drawings, perform takeoffs, and develop labor and material pricing for complex projects.

The ideal candidate has substantial reinforcing-steel experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to establish estimating standards and templates while coordinating with project managers, detailing, and field teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry with estimating and detailing experience.
• Strong reading of structural drawings and specs.
• Experience with large concrete/industrial projects.
• Ability to establish estimating standards and templates.
• Lead a department as it grows.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor and other costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates.
• Coordinate RFIs and revisions with project teams.
• Mentor junior estimators and detailers.
• Lead development of standardized estimating procedures.
