B&B Concrete is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead reinforcing-steel takeoffs, cost development, and bid preparation remotely for diverse projects. The role leverages strong knowledge of detailing, fabrication, and field placement to drive accurate, competitive bids.

The ideal candidate will review structural drawings, develop labor and material pricing, and mentor junior staff as the department grows, with periodic travel to project sites and meetings as needed.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of reinforcing-steel industry experience.
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel for large projects.
• Familiarity with detailing reviews and placing drawings.
• Able to read structural drawings and specs accurately.
• Experience with fabrication and field placement processes.

Aufgaben

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from structural drawings and specifications.
• Develop accurate estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment, freight and other costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions based on project conditions.
• Review plans for scope gaps, discrepancies and constructability concerns.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates; assist in bid strategy.
