Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a senior estimator for reinforcing steel to lead takeoffs, pricing, and detailing coordination across projects. The role involves reviewing drawings, establishing labor and material costs, and guiding bid strategies.

Remote work is supported with periodic site interactions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in reinforcing steel for large-scale concrete projects, superb analytical skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff within the estimating

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry.
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel.
• Experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings.
• Experience with large concrete projects.
• Strong ability to read structural drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, RebarCAD, aSa, Tekla, SDS/2.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor, and equipment.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability.
• Assist in bid strategy and pricing.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation.
