Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax SME to join Payroll Tax Operations. The Staff Payroll Tax Processor leads complex tax issues across notices, corrections, and amendments, owning the full case lifecycle while mentoring junior staff and improving processes for customers.

This role emphasizes resolving tax defects, preparing amended returns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate payroll tax outcomes for a broad client base.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notices and amendments.
• Hands-on experience preparing and approving amended federal/state returns (941-X, W-2c).
• Deep knowledge of federal payroll tax law and multi-state tax compliance.
• Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and audit trails.

Responsabilidades

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices end-to-end.
• Prepare and file amended returns across 10+ states with reconciliation.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods; drive correction workflow.
• Maintain high productivity resolving Corrections, Amendments, and Notices with accuracy.
• Monitor WIP, identify blockers, and drive root-cause analysis with solutions.
• Coach Senior Processors and transfer knowledge to the team.
