Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with a focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notice types and ability to draft penalty abatements with documentation.
• Experience preparing/amending Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) with complex local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices across multi-quarter and multi-state scenarios.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns end-to-end.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors across multiple periods and jurisdictions.
• Maintain high productivity in resolving correction, amendment, and notice requests with accuracy.
• Coach and support Senior Payroll Tax Processors; lead knowledge transfer and training.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve interconnected payroll tax issues end-to-end.
