MAXIMUS is seeking a Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support the IRS client on a remote basis. The role requires active MBI and at least five years of IBM COBOL experience, with DB2, CICS, and related technologies.

Responsibilities include leading module development, coding, testing, documentation updates, and collaborating with multiple teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements. A strong background in tax processing systems is a plus.

Formación

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 5+ years of professional COBOL/IBM development experience.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) is required.
• Proficient in IBM COBOL, DB2, CICS, SQL, JCL and batch processing.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development of COBOL-based modules to meet business requirements; design, unit test, troubleshoot and document.
• Update and maintain documentation (FSP/PRP/ICD/COH) and provide guidance to teammates.
• Code, review, and test COBOL programs; perform system analysis and contribute to design discussions.
