Maximus is seeking a Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support the IRS client in a full-time, remote capacity. The role focuses on designing, coding, testing, and maintaining COBOL-based solutions, with emphasis on IBM DB2, CICS, and batch processing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, review code, update documentation, and ensure compliance with IRS requirements. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience are required, along with an active IRS MBI.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; 5+ years of professional experience.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) is required.
• At least 4 years of experience with IBM COBOL programming language.
• Experience with DB2 and IBM DB2 utilities.
• Experience with CICS.
• SQL, JCL, and Batch processing experience preferred.

• Lead the development of COBOL-based software solutions meeting business requirements.
• Design, code, unit test, and troubleshoot modules per specifications.
• Review code, perform unit tests, and integrate modules.
• Provide guidance and training to other staff as needed.
