MAXIMUS is seeking a Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support the IRS client in a fully remote role. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of COBOL experience with DB2, CICS, and JCL expertise, and possess an active MBI credential.

The role entails designing, coding, testing, and documenting COBOL modules, reviewing code, and guiding junior staff. Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities are essential for client support and project delivery.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• At least 4 years of IBM COBOL experience.
• Experience with DB2, CICS, and JCL is required.
• Strong communication and client support skills.

Mansioni

• Lead the development of COBOL-based solutions to meet business requirements.
• Evaluate new coding techniques and tools for implementation.
• Design, code, test, and document COBOL modules and interfaces.
