MAXIMUS is seeking a Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support the IRS client in a remote position. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of COBOL experience, DB2/CICS knowledge, and an active IRS MBI. Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, reviewing, and updating documentation; guiding other developers; and supporting testing and production troubleshooting. Strong communication skills are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) is required.
• At least four years of IBM COBOL programming experience.
• Experience with DB2, CICS, and IBM DB2 utilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development of software solutions meeting business requirements.
• Design, implement, test, and document COBOL modules.
• Review code, perform unit tests, and integrate modules.
• Provide guidance and training to other developers.
• Support testing, production logs analysis, and defect remediation.
• Create and update documentation such as FSPs/PRPs.
