Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Sr. Sales Application Engineer to support the sales team with expert HVAC application knowledge, equipment selection, and solution structuring for complex projects.

You will translate customer needs into optimized configurations, ensuring performance and regulatory compliance while collaborating with sales, engineering, and operations. This remote role services the Midwestern United States, with preferred candidates in WI, IA, OH, KY, IN, IL, PA, and NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology required.
• 5+ years in HVAC application engineering, or pre‑sales technical support.
• 2+ years experience with Air Handlers and Chillers.
• Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize HVAC equipment selection for complex projects.
• Ensure quoting, sizing, and specifications align with customer requirements and standards.
• Identify cost-saving and technical improvements to improve competitiveness.
• Provide technical application support to the sales team and assist in proposals and submittals.
• Prepare, review, and approve final technical submittals and quotes.
