Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Sales Application Engineer to provide technical expertise and strategic support for complex Applied HVAC equipment selections, proposals, quotes, and submittals. This remote role supports the Midwest region of the United States, collaborating with sales, engineering, and operations to win high-value projects.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology and about 5+ years in HVAC application engineering or pre-sales.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
About 5+ years of HVAC application engineering or pre-sales experience.
Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.
MBA or Master’s Degree.
Strong knowledge of applied HVAC systems and commercial building applications.
Experience leading teams responsible for selection, pricing, and technical proposal support.
Proficiency in HVAC selection and design tools, CRM systems, and pricing/configuration platforms.
Familiarity with competitive bid, RFP, and negotiated sales processes.

Responsibilities

Develop, validate, and optimize Applied HVAC equipment selection for complex projects.
Ensure quoting, sizing, and specifications align with customer requirements and standards.
Stay informed on industry trends and competitor strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Develop detailed technical proposals and quotes for complex projects.
Provide technical application support to the sales team.
