Job summary
Carrier is seeking a Sr. Sales Application Engineer to partner with our sales team on complex Applied HVAC projects in the Midwest.
You will translate customer needs into optimized equipment configurations, ensure cost-effective, compliant solutions, and support the sales process with technical depth from quoting to submittals. Remote role covering the Midwest region with preferred locations in several states; travel up to 50% is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or engineering technology required.
- 5+ years of HVAC application engineering or pre-sales technical support experience.
- 2+ years experience with Air Handlers and Chillers.
Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and optimize Applied HVAC equipment selection based on project specifications.
- Ensure quoting, sizing, and equipment specs align with customer requirements and standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and technical improvements in system selection.
- Provide technical application support to sales team members and assist in final submittals.
- Present technically sound, competitive solutions to customers and maintain records of project costs.
- Support training and customer events.
