Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Sales Application Engineer to support the Midwest region remotely. The role focuses on complex Applied HVAC equipment selections, proposals, and submittals, translating customer needs into optimized configurations.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations to refine proposals, support high‑value opportunities, and ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology required.
• ~5+ years of experience in HVAC application engineering or pre-sales technical support.
• MBA or Masters degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of applied HVAC systems and commercial building applications.
• Experience leading teams responsible for selection, pricing, and technical proposal support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize Applied HVAC equipment selection based on project specifications.
• Ensure quoting, sizing, and equipment specs align with customer requirements and standards.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Develop and refine detailed technical proposals and quotes for complex projects.
• Provide technical application support to sales team members.
• Support sales teams in presenting technically sound, competitive solutions.
• Prepare, review, and approve final technical submittals.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities with project teams.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, configurations, and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance on complex projects and high‑value opportunities.
• Assist in product training classes and present on multiple topics.
