Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Sr. Sales Application Engineer to partner with the sales team, providing technical expertise and strategic support for complex Applied HVAC projects across the Midwest US.

The role focuses on non-standard, large-scale opportunities, translating customer needs into optimized equipment configurations while ensuring performance, budget, and regulatory alignment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology is required.
• 5+ years of HVAC application engineering experience is required.
• 2+ years of experience with Air Handlers and Chillers; ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize applied HVAC equipment selection for complex projects.
• Ensure quoting, sizing, and equipment specs meet customer requirements and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to sales and support teams on high‑value opportunities.
• Prepare, review, and approve final technical submittals for regulations and customer needs.
• Support cost saving and value engineering opportunities in project proposals.
