Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Federal Software Program Manager to direct large-scale deployments for federal government and public safety clients. This remote role includes end-to-end governance, P&L, cross-functional leadership, and compliance, with up to 50% travel to North American customer sites.

The position emphasizes proposal experience, federal contracting knowledge, and proficiency with Jira Align, MS Project, Confluence, and Asana.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Business Administration.
• Experience: 8+ years of software project or program management experience delivering complex, large-scale software solutions.
• Certifications: PMP in process or completed strongly preferred; Agile certifications are a plus.
• Federal Acumen: Working knowledge of federal contracting practices or willingness to learn.
• Competitive & Proposal Expertise: Experience with proposal development, effort estimation, and win strategies for large federal procurements.
• Technical & PM Tooling: Proficiency in Jira Align, Microsoft Project, Confluence, and Asana for portfolio reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develops, manages, and implements the master project plan using automated project management tools, processes, and procedures.
• Defines and measures the performance relating to achieving specific goals.
• Leads a multidisciplinary project team to achieve successful project completion.
• Establishes and maintains contact with customers and channel partners as relates to their specific projects.
• Provides regular status updates and coordinates meetings with internal and external customers.
• Maintains project budgets and financial objectives (revenue, margin, cash) and monitors change management.

Education
