Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Senior Federal Software Program Manager to direct large-scale, enterprise software deployments for federal government and public safety clients. This remote role carries end-to-end governance, budget responsibility, and cross-functional leadership with up to 50% travel across North America.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software project management, strong federal contracting knowledge, and PMP or related certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Business Administration.
• 8+ years of software project or program management experience delivering complex, large-scale software solutions.
• Experience leading federal government software contracts is strongly preferred; candidates with equivalent enterprise experience in Public Safety, Telecommunications, SaaS, or regulated industries will be considered.
• Certifications: PMP in process or completed strongly preferred. Advanced program management or Agile certifications (e.g., PgMP, SAFe SPC/Release Train Engineer, CSM) are a plus.
• Federal Acumen: Working knowledge of federal business, federal contracting practices or willingness to learn.
• Competitive & Proposal Expertise: Experience with proposal development and win strategies.

Responsibilities

• Direct large-scale, enterprise software deployments and complex technology initiatives for federal government and public safety clients.
• Hold end-to-end accountability for program governance, financial performance (P&L), and client satisfaction.
• Lead cross-functional teams and serve as trusted advisor to government stakeholders.
• Develop and manage master project plans; define and measure performance.
• Maintain relationships with customers and channel partners; provide regular status updates.
