Affimr is seeking a senior backend engineer to own delivery of quarterly team goals for our data infrastructure. You will design and launch scalable systems using Python or Kotlin, collaborating with product, design, and analytics to balance competing priorities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, guiding engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems
• Collaborate with product, design & analytics during ideation, articulating constraints and weighing risks/trade-offs
• Identify and lead efforts to resolve project, process, technology or business issues
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts with metrics and on-call work
• Set and improve code review and design standards, promoting quality beyond your team
• Mentor teammates and grow talent through feedback and example
