Job summary

Cloudera seeks a collaborative, self-motivated Contracts Manager to join its legal team and support the United States sales organization. You will review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including enterprise subscriptions, services agreements, NDAs, and complex orders.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes, mitigate risk, and serve as a trusted advisor to internal clients, including sales, deal desks, and revenue teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience negotiating sell-side technology and data contracts.
• Strong knowledge of software industry issues such as data privacy, IP protection, cloud computing, revenue recognition.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work independently or with others.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts for new and follow-on business with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with policies and global standards for hybrid deployments of cloud software and data licensing.
• Advise management on contractual rights, obligations and risk mitigation.
• Escalate when appropriate to balance constituencies and business needs.
• Compile and analyze contract data and maintain historical records.
• Serve as trusted advisor to internal clients including sales, deal desk and revenue teams.
