Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its legal team, supporting the United States sales organization. The role focuses on reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including enterprise subscriptions, services agreements, NDAs, complex order forms, and statements of work, with a strong emphasis on customer-facing negotiations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years negotiating sell-side technology and data contracts.
• Strong knowledge of software company legal issues incl. data privacy, IP, cloud, revenue recognition.
• Expertise in AI, commercial transactions, and complex tech negotiations.
• Superior communication and internal/external customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate requisite agreements for new and follow-on business with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure agreements comply with company policies and global legal standards for hybrid deployment and licensing.
• Advise management of contractual rights/obligations and mitigate risks.
• Compile and analyze contract data and maintain historical information.
• Build rapport with sales, deal desk, and revenue teams to facilitate closing with minimized risk.
