Tokio Marine HCC – A&H Group in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Underwriter for a remote, full-time role focused on middle-market E&S construction accounts. The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of E&S underwriting experience, a proven ability to grow a book and market to brokers.

You will evaluate new and renewal applications, set pricing within guidelines, maintain documentation, and develop a regional pipeline.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting middle‑market construction accounts and managing a meaningful book of business.
• Strong production and business‑development mindset with broker relationships.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications and related documents to classify and assess each risk, determine acceptability, assign rating, endorsements and limits, and determine appropriate pricing.
• Contact and respond to verbal and written inquiries from brokers within designated timeframe.
• Create and maintain all documentation including bound files, underwriting worksheets, and phone conversations.
• Adhere to underwriting authority directives, guidelines, and applicable policies.
• Approve or deny within given authority or recommend actions to higher authority.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external contacts to facilitate underwriting and business development.
