Tokio Marine HCC International is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Underwriter for a remote, full-time role focusing on middle-market construction business. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of E&S construction underwriting experience, a track record marketing to brokers, and the ability to grow a substantial book of business with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting middle-market contractor accounts.
• Proven track record growing a book of business (often $3M–$5M+).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications and classify risks.
• Respond to broker inquiries within defined timeframes.
• Maintain bound files, underwriting worksheets, and documentation per guidelines.
• Adhere to underwriting authority directives and policies.
• Approve/deny within authority or escalate to higher authority.
• Develop and maintain relationships to foster business development.
