Qualifications

• 5 years of E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting middle-market construction accounts.
• Ownership of a sizeable book of business, ideally $3M–$5M or more.
• Experience marketing to brokers and developing business relationships.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications and related documents to classify and assess risk, determine acceptability, pricing and endorsements.
• Respond to broker inquiries within designated timeframe and provide underwriting guidance.
• Maintain documentation for new and renewal files and underwriting worksheets.
• Adhere to underwriting authority directives and company policies.
