Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Senior Construction Underwriter to build and manage a profitable middle-market construction book on a remote basis. The candidate should have at least 5 years of E&S underwriting experience and a proven track record underwriting larger contractor accounts, plus the ability to market to brokers and grow a territory.

The role reports to the Vice President, emphasizes production and business development, and requires independent decision-making.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years underwriting E&S construction business.
• Experience marketing to brokers and developing business relationships.
• Ability to work independently and build a territory with minimal supervision.

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications and related documents to classify and assess each risk.
• Contact and respond to broker inquiries within designated timeframe.
• Create and maintain all documentation and underwriting worksheets.
• Adhere to underwriting directives and company policies.
• Approve or deny within given authority or escalate as needed.
• Cultivate relationships to facilitate underwriting and business development.
• Develop understanding of factors affecting policy rating and risk.
