Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Senior Construction Underwriter focused on the middle‑market segment. The role is remote and requires at least 5 years of E&S construction underwriting experience with a track record in larger, complex contractor accounts. You will manage a profitable book, work with brokers, and adhere to underwriting guidelines while expanding the territory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting middle-market construction accounts.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and policies.
• Engagement with brokers to respond to inquiries and provide information.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal applications, assign rating and pricing.
• Maintain documentation for new/renewal files and calls.
• Adhere to underwriting authority directives and company policies.
• Provide underwriting guidance to other staff as needed.
• Develop understanding of factors affecting policy rating and risk.
