Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior BESS Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage systems on nationwide projects. This role is fully remote with location details discussed in interviews.

You will provide strategic technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure performance, reliability, and safety across all stages from design to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years electrical engineering experience with BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Expert knowledge of BESS configurations, control strategies, and optimization software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for BESS engineering scopes and provide technical direction to project teams.
• Lead the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems, ensuring compliance with contracts and utility requirements.
• Review feasibility studies and site assessments to recommend optimal BESS configurations.
• Coordinate with fire protection engineers and AHJ’s.
• Develop and review technical specifications and drawings for procurement.
