Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior BESS Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage systems for nationwide projects. The role provides strategic and technical oversight to ensure performance, reliability, and safety goals are met.

The position is fully remote with discussions on location during interview; travel to support project execution may be required. Strong engineering leadership and collaboration across disciplines are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience focused on BESS, renewables or power systems.
• PE license preferred; strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NESC and utility standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for BESS engineering scopes and provide direction to project teams.
• Lead design and engineering of battery energy storage systems ensuring compliance with contracts and AHJ requirements.
• Review feasibility studies, site assessments, and system sizing analyses for optimal BESS configurations.
