Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Correspondent Senior Business Development Officer to own the development of new relationships and sales with community banks by promoting SouthState Correspondent products and services. This is a remote opportunity requiring extensive travel.

The role requires strong relationship management, sales and analytical skills, plus experience in banking. You will work with bank management and support teams to grow opportunity pipelines and deliver excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six to ten years of related banking/industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain new relationships with community banks and drive new sales of current products and services.
• Market current SouthState Correspondent offerings and maintain working knowledge of all products.
• Coordinate with bank management and support personnel to pursue opportunities and address issues.
• Plan visits to customers/prospects and complete visit reports.
• Produce analyses/comparisons for prospect institutions and present findings.
