Job summary

SouthState Bank seeks a Correspondent Senior Business Development Officer to own the development of new relationships and drive sales with community banks, while marketing SouthState Correspondent products and services.

The role requires building and maintaining relationships, knowledge of products, and strategic engagement with bank management and external influencers. Telecommuting with a secure home office is required; 90% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Six to ten years related experience and/or training.
• Required annual compliance training and New Employee Orientation.

Responsibilities

• Develop new relationships with community banks and generate new sales of SouthState Correspondent products and services.
• Market current SouthState Correspondent products and services to customers and prospects.
• Maintain knowledge of all products and services offered by SouthState Correspondent.
• Plan and schedule visits to customers and prospects within a defined region and complete contact reports.
• Act as liaison at bank-sponsored and external events.
• Cultivate relationships with market influencers such as CPAs, law firms, and trade associations.
