Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer to own the development of new relationships and sales with community banks, marketing current SouthState Correspondent products. This remote role requires strong relationship-building and a deep knowledge of our product suite.

The position travels about 90% and offers compensation within a broad pay range. You will engage bank management, plan visits, and deliver analyses for prospects while working from a secure home office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to ten years related experience and/or training.
• Certifications/Specific Knowledge: None.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with community banks to drive new sales.
• Market current SouthState Correspondent products and services.
• Maintain working knowledge of SouthState Bank and its affiliates.
• Schedule visits with customers and prospects within a defined region.
• Prepare and present analyses for SouthState Correspondent prospects.
• Represent the bank at events as a liaison.
• Cultivate relationships with market influencers (CPAs, law firms, trade associations).
• Telecommuting role with remote work setup and travel as required.
