Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Correspondent Senior Business Development Officer to own the development of new relationships and generate sales with community banks by marketing SouthState Correspondent products and services. Maintain knowledge of all offerings and service lines for effective client delivery.

The role emphasizes relationship management, visits, prospect reporting, and collaboration with bank executives to seize opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Six to ten years related experience and/or training.
• Certifications/Specific Knowledge: None

Responsibilities

• Develop new relationships and maintain current relationships with our community bank customers, by marketing and driving new sales.
• Develop and maintain a general working knowledge of SouthState Bank, N.A., its affiliates and any strategic alliance service offerings.
• Follow-up on business opportunities and/or problems encountered during customer contact.
• Plan and schedule visits to all customers and prospects within a defined region and assist in completing contact reports for all visits to customers/prospects.
• Assist in preparation and presentation of analysis comparisons and other services for SouthState Correspondent prospect institutions.
• Act as a SouthState Correspondent liaison at both bank-sponsored and external events.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with market and industry influencers, such as consultants, CPAs, etc.
