Job summary

NMS is seeking a Remote Security Captain to lead and supervise security operations at the Kuparuk oil field. You will ensure compliance with client and company policies, maintain client relationships, and oversee incident response and reporting.

The role requires remote camp experience, a strong safety mindset, and leadership skills. The position involves rotating two weeks on / two weeks off, direct supervision of security personnel, and coordination with clients and emergency services to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years post-secondary education preferred; alternative security experience.
• Ten years of full-time security, law-enforcement, or military experience.
• Five years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to obtain Alaska Guard License prior to employment.
• Must obtain State of Alaska Armed Guard License on hire.
• Experience with security training and contract requirements.
• Ability to qualify for credentials including TWIC and ATF Explosives Possessor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract software.

Responsibilities

• Assign security personnel to posts and patrols.
• Supervise daily security operations and ensure client requirements and SOPs.
• Interpret and enforce security policies and contract requirements.
• Develop and document operational processes and workforce needs.
• Prepare employee schedules and review leave requests.
• Maintain client communications to improve service delivery.
• Investigate incident reports and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with clients, law enforcement, and emergency responders.
• Serve as Incident Commander during emergencies when required.
• Mentor security personnel and promote professionalism.
