Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Remote Security Captain for the Kuparuk oil field in Alaska. You will lead security personnel, enforce policies, and oversee operations to protect personnel, facilities, and critical infrastructure.

The role follows a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation, based at the Kuparuk field, and requires extensive security leadership, incident command, and international/remote work capabilities. Strong client communication and training delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• A minimum of two years post‑secondary education preferred; otherwise two more years of related security/military experience.
• Ten years of full‑time professional security/law enforcement/military experience.
• Five years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain Alaska Guard License prior to employment.
• State of Alaska Armed Guard License required.
• Ability to lead security training and conduct recurring training.
• Familiarity with ICS/NIMS coursework preferred.
• Ability to obtain credentials including TWIC and ATF Explosives Possessor.
• Proficient with MS Office and contract‑specific software.
• Pre‑employment requirements may include drug screening and medical tests.

Responsibilities

• Assign security personnel to posts and patrols with staffing coverage.
• Supervise daily security operations and ensure client and contract compliance.
• Interpret and enforce security policies and contractual requirements.
• Develop understanding of client requirements and document processes.
• Translate requirements into functional procedures and maintain docs.
• Prepare work schedules and manage leave requests.
• Maintain communication with clients to improve service delivery.
• Review incident and irregularity reports and resolve issues.
• Maintain administrative records and reports.
• Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Review damage and safety reports to determine responses.
• Coordinate with client reps, law enforcement, and responders.
• Develop and maintain post orders and emergency procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to issues.
