Job summary

NANA Management Services seeks an experienced Remote Security Sergeant to lead security operations at remote client locations in Alaska. The role requires supervising staff, enforcing policies, and coordinating with clients and law enforcement.

The assignment follows a two weeks on / two weeks off rotation and requires readiness for incident command as needed. Candidates must have security or military background, supervisory experience, and be able to obtain Alaska licenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years full-time security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a related field.
• Valid driver's license with clean three-year record.
• Ability to obtain Alaska Guard License before start date.
• Ability to obtain State of Alaska Armed Guard License upon hire.
• Demonstrated training and instructional skills for security training.
• Experience handling handguns and meeting firearm qualifications.
• Working knowledge of Incident Command System (ICS).
• Eligible for required certifications (e.g., TWIC, ATF Explosives Possessor).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract-specific software.
• Ability to complete pre-employment requirements (drug tests, physicals, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily security operations and personnel at client facilities.
• Assign personnel to posts and patrols to ensure proper staffing.
• Enforce security policies and post orders.
• Maintain knowledge of client operational needs and document processes.
• Prepare schedules and review leave requests.
• Communicate with clients, employees, and external agencies.
• Review incident and irregularity reports and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders.
• Maintain post orders and procedures.
• Serve in on-call capacity and assume Incident Command as needed.
• Provide transportation and basic emergency medical assistance.
• Work in remote camp environments and maintain camp cleanliness.
