Job summary

Samsara is hiring a Sales Engineer to join a diverse, technically minded team delivering connected operations technology to customers. The role covers logistics, fleet maintenance, asset management, and system integrations, with focus on IoT hardware, sensors, cloud infrastructure, and open APIs.

This is a remote position within the United States. The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering, strong communication skills to explain complex ideas, and French fluency.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Preferred 1+ years experience working with customers in a pre-sales or support capacity.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Bilingual French speaker.

Responsibilities

• Assist Global Sales Team with technical inquiries and tasks by monitoring a question queue.
• Assist with technical trials to convey the value of a Samsara solution in a prospect's operation.
• Create software scripting solutions and integrations to support proofs of concept.
• Be available for internal Q&A from account teams requesting technical assistance.
• Produce and manage digital content to aid product learning, adoption, and configuration.
• Update and manage hardware/software lab infrastructure in office and remote kits.
• Coordinate and participate in new product testing activities.
• Gather industry-specific customer use cases for Samsara solutions with sales teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure prospect success.
