Samsara is seeking a Sales Engineer in the US to translate IoT hardware, cloud, and API capabilities into real-world solutions for logistics, fleet maintenance, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with customers to uncover needs, demonstrate products, and support deployment from discovery to pilot.

The role is remote within the US, with collaboration across cross-functional teams and a focus on high-impact customer outcomes and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in pre-sales or technical support with customers.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Well-versed in cloud software, networking, automation and control systems.
• Experience tinkering with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Become an expert on Samsara products and how IoT, AI, and APIs solve customer problems.
• Demonstrate quick and efficient discovery to understand customer needs and answer tech questions on a call.
• Be highly available for demo/account coverage and cross-team technical support.
• Understand how devices are installed and be able to explain installation steps to customers.
• Educate customers on API concepts and deploy sample scripts to testing environments.
• Liaise between product and sales, translating feedback for beta programs.
• Champion Samsara values and contribute to global scale initiatives.
